YOGA FOUNDATIONS: Our Foundations class is suitable for those who are new to yoga, those who haven't been near a yoga mat for a while or who want to rediscover the basics. Explore your strength, mobility, balance and breath in this step-by-step approach. Gain confidence and learn how to customize your practice to your own body for better overall movement, tone, strength, length and safety in a safe, supportive and encouraging space. No previous yoga experience required.
SUNRISE FLOW: Start your day right and get moving with a vinyasa flow that will both energize you for your day and build heat, endurance, flexibility and strength. With modifications and variations for everyone, this class is suitable for all levels. Come ready to tune into your breath, calm your mind, and play in your practice! Suitable for all levels.
SLOW FLOW: Slow Flow classes are light and creative, but slower paced than our Flow classes. Poses are generally held for longer periods, and the transitions between poses a little slower to ensure alignment and movement with breath. This is an excellent class in which to begin your yoga practice, as you are able to familiarise yourself with foundation postures. Learn the core asanas (postures) for your Flow practice. Suitable for all levels.
DYNAMIC FLOW: This style increases cardiovascular and strength due to a faster passed flow between postures, and the number of postures approached. Movements are synchronized with the breath and more advanced poses are introduced. Both Sanskrit and English terms for postures will be used. Yoga experience is an advantage, however all levels can benefit from this class.
PROGRESSIVE FLOW: A dynamic practice focusing on more challenging asana/yoga poses including arm balances, transitions, and inversions. Classes include pranayama (breath work and techniques). Designed for students wanting to progress their yoga practice and and have attended at least 5-8 Dynamic Flow classes.
YIN: You will hold postures, generally performed on the floor, for a longer period of time so that the connective tissue (fascia) can be gently stretched. Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of Yoga. Find length in this class while allowing stillness for deep relaxation and restoration. Suitable for all levels.
YINYANG: The yang comes before the Yin in this energetically balanced class that draws inspiration from the Daoist lineage. Marrying breath and movement, the first segment will offer gentle, creative transitions between fundamental postures to build strength, stamina and open all the tight spots. The second half of the class will focus on sinking into stillness, emphasising the meditative over the action. The Yin aspect of this practice takes you through a much slower series of stretches, diving into the deeper, denser tissues of the body - fascia, tendons, ligaments and joints. Postures here are generally held for up to 5 minutes to expand your flexibility and regulate subtle energy flows throughout. Suitable for all levels.
YIN & MEDITATION: Our Yin class with even more emphasis on meditation and breathing. Expect to finish with a 15 min guided Yoga Nidra. Suitable for all levels.
CANDLELIGHT YOGA & MEDITATION: This is a relaxing evening class which combines 40 minutes of restorative yoga poses with a 20 minute meditation. What a great way to finish the day! Suitable for all levels.
YOGA CALM: This class is the perfect for anyone who is feeling out of sync from having too much to do. A mix of simple breathing techniques, flowing postures and a yoga Nidra help you unwind and let go of your day. Geared towards new yogis, the focus on alignment helps beginners build strength and flexibility. More experienced students have the space to take their postures to a deeper level. You’ll leave the class feeling calm, refreshed and rejuvenated. Suitable for all levels
MOVE WELL: A class focused on moving your body well and breaking down functional movement patterns. Inspired by various movement modalities (Corrective Exercise, Somatics, Yoga, Myofascial Release and FRC) and the cutting edge of science this class offers an opportunity to explore and adapt your own unique way of moving to cultivate awareness, stability, strength, mobility, coordination and overall balance to improve everyday movement patterns. This class moves at an accessible pace, waking up the body thoughtfully and methodically with the assistance of blocks, straps, massage balls and other tools.
STRETCH THERAPY: Stretch Therapy is a comprehensive system of training that includes stretching, strengthening, myofascial remodelling, neural re-patterning, and relaxation. Looking at thousands of practitioners over the world it appears to be one of the most efficient methods in acquiring and preserving long-term grace and ease in the body. Whether an office worker or an athlete, you will experience its numerous benefits especially in terms of enhanced awareness and elegance and lightness in movement, daily. Stretch Therapy can be practiced absolutely safely by men and women of all ages (including pregnant women and children), no matter the fitness level. Suitable for all levels.
FELDENKRAIS: Feldenkrais is a kinaesthetic learning process that brings the mindfulness of meditation to how you move and feel.
You discover how subtle details in how you do something can make a big difference in how supported and connected it feels. It’s about reducing effort, honing ease, becoming calmer and more adaptable.

We explore a different focus each time and we're more interested in how you feel afterwards than whether you get it 'right'. As the flavour of each session can be quite varied it’s recommended you come along to a couple of classes consecutively to really sample the benefits you can receive from it.

People often feel calmer, lighter yet grounded. You might notice changes in your mood, your spatial awareness, your co-ordination or your balance. Suitable for all levels.

Here's what our students have to say about our classes:
Frequently Asked Questions:
What should I wear and bring to the class?
• Wear comfy exercise clothes that you can move freely (i.e. tights or shorts and a singlet)
• Towel
• Bottle of water
• Yoga mat if you have one, otherwise we have mats available for use free of charge.
• An open mind, courageous attitude, and your biggest and best smile!

Also, arrive at least 15 minutes before class, so you have enough time to meet your teacher and settle in.

Avoid eating a large meal within 2-3 hours prior to class. But if you’re hungry have a light snack, like a piece of fruit.

And turn off your phone while in the studio ; )
I’m new to yoga, which class should I come to?
Our Yoga Foundations and Slow Flow classes are the perfect yoga for beginners. A slower class – but still strong – where you’ll learn alignment techniques and get useful tips on how to practice and what to expect in the future. At first it may seem challenging or hard. For sure, the physical postures will be difficult. You may be aching for days (even if you thought you were in good shape before starting) because you’re using muscles you’ve never “exercised” before. You might want to throw the towel in, but you’ve got to be SUPER patient.

Give the practice time to work its magic. You’ll be doing yourself a huge disservice if you only go five times and think it isn’t working. If you're serious about growing, you've got to give it a regular schedule.
How often should I practice?
You can practice as often as you like, just remember to listen to your body. Some committed students practice 5-6 times per week, however the intensity will vary to suit the needs of their body on the day. Slowing down and listening to your body’s intuition is part of the yoga journey. If you’re cross-training with other sports then 2-3 times a week would likely be of great benefit.
I'm pregnant or just had a baby, when can I practice yoga?
For the most part, if a student had a regular asana practice pre-pregnancy, you can continue to practice in the way you are accustomed to as long as you feels comfortable doing so.

Usually prenatal yoga from second trimester and postnatal after three months from delivery. But you must get your doctor's OK before join us.
I had an injury in the past, can I still practice?
Yes, in all classes our teachers have the ability to suggest variations to suit your abilities. Remember to speak to the teacher about your injuries and check with your doctor before joining.
Is yoga for everyone?
Yoga is suitable for all women and men at all ages, body types and fitness levels. We encourage everyone to practice at their own pace, free of judgement for best results.
Is parking available?
There is 2-hour street parking all around the studio. The studio is easily accessible by bus and trains (10 min walk to Erskineville or 15 min walk to Redfern Stations).
Do you have changing facilities?
Yes, we have a combined toilet/change room.
